Learning the Ten Commandments

Bryanna asked us where the ten commandments were located in the bible, so we told her in Exodus. Well I think it is important for her to know them. So my cousin told me of a website called smartyface.com that lists the ten commandments but in a very unique way. This website is for children and Bryanna really liked it, but we are still working on them. She is trying to learn them all.

Womens ACC tournament

Bryan and I went to the ACC tournament with Bryannas class at school. We had a wonderful time and it tickled Bryanna to be able to spend time with us. I think it was a lot better watching the game in person instead of on t.v.  The team we ended up pulling for won so that made it even better for Bryanna. She got to play all the games they had there as well and had fun. This was just a fun outing for us and something different for us to do. And silly old me forgot to get batteries for my camera so no pictures.:(

The little things.

I know it has been a while since I posted anything, but I just need to share this. Bryan is so good to me and he does the sweetest things. Last week he took my car to change the oil and when he put the sticker on the windshield that tells the next service date there was a message for me. Instead of the date for next service this is what was in its place, “ILOVEU”! When I seen that of course that made me feel so good. I know that he loves me but when he leaves little messages like that it means so much to me.

Bathroom Makeover!!

Well I think we have decided to start doing some things to our house. Yeaa!! We have been living here a little over 8 years and have never really done anything to the house. So we will start with the little bathroom. There is carpet in the bathroom, we are going to take it up and put a new floor down. I am going to paint in there. We also found a little set at walmart that has a lion, a monkey, a giraffe, and a elephant that we are going to use in there unless we change our mind. We have to use something that will go for a boy and a girl, this is also the kids bathroom. Bryanna seems to like this set. It may take us a while with Bryans schedule but we will eventually get it done. I can’t wait.

Some people…

I went shopping Saturday and B.W. got so upset because he wasn’t getting his way. Some people just aggravate me, BW was crying and this woman just had to make a smart remark. I thought lady you need to just go on and be quiet. I didn’t care what she had to say. Some people just need to mind there on business. I hate when people look at you like you are not a good parent or try to compare your child to theirs.This just drives me crazy.

Coupons, Coupons, Coupons

I am a big on cutting out coupons. I try to be smart in everything I buy. I get my paper on Sunday and I cut, cut, cut. Today I went to Food Lion and saved $25.00 between MVP and coupons. I was so excited. I try to watch the grocery papers and whatever is on sale and I have a coupon for it that is when I buy that item. I usually save a lot of money this way.

Routine

Since we are thinking very seriously about homeschooling we decided we better get B.W. in some kind of routine. So I have been thinking on what would be the best thing for him. I found a book for his age that has all kinds of worksheets in it. So we are reviewing colors at the moment and this is our first week. We are going to do one color a week till we finish. Actually he has done really well, he has stayed in his seat till we were done everyday. He has gotten to color and glue and I think I am even going to attempt to let him paint with green. I also decided I would post all his work in his room and change it out each week. He thinks this is the best thing, when his sissy comes home from school and when his daddy comes home at night he just has to show them what he did.

Homeschooling

Well I think we have about decided to homeschool our children. Everything is looking very positive. I am excited and hope everything works out if it is Gods will. Bryanna is so excited and wants to be homeschooled. I have already looked at some curriculums and it is so overwhelming. I just hope whatever we go with will be the right thing. Thanks to Michelle I have someone to fall back on for help and advice.

Christmas

Christmas has come and gone but we don’t forget what the true meaning of Christmas is. We had  a wonderful christmas and best of all Bryan has been off the whole week. We have spent this time together and it has been wonderful. Christmas Eve we usually read the Christmas story at my moms house but this year we did something a little different. We decided to do something at my grandmas house, before we opened presents we would get Ryan to read the Christmas story, my cousin to play a christmas song on her clarinet, my other cousin to sing “O Holy Night” (one of my favorite songs) and the little kids sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. It turned out great, and I think we started a new tradition.
